Howard A. Gardner brings more than 38 years of experience in all aspects of matrimonial and family law. His practice includes complex settlements, discovery, forensic business and pension valuations, motion practice, trials, hearings, and appeals. He has represented clients in high-conflict divorce, custody, and support matters in Supreme and Family Courts throughout New York City, Long Island, and Westchester.
Howard has extensive experience negotiating and litigating the enforceability of prenuptial, postnuptial, and separation agreements, and is known for his strategic, detail-driven approach to sophisticated financial issues. His litigation background includes securing a multimillion-dollar award for his client after a complex equitable distribution and support trial involving the valuation of multiple commercial and residential properties. Howard has also successfully argued numerous appeals, including a notable appeal involving the authority of a Special Referee to determine custody and relocation matters.
Howard is a graduate of Brooklyn Law School and a member of the New York State Bar Association’s Family Law Section.
